For larger coolant systems an oil separator is recommended.
The unwanted and free oil is efficiently separated from the contaminated fluid (such as metal cutting emulsions, wash baths, hardening baths, etc.), and removed to a waste tank. The cleaned emulsion (coolant) flows back to the main tank by gravity.
These systems have proved to be 89% efficient when separating free oils in suspension.
The example shown is the entry model MINI-QUICKSEP, which has no moving parts except for the pump and motor, and as such maintenance is reduced to a minimum. It is only necessary to rinse out the unit once or twice a year.
Pumps and Equipment are able to supply a variety of oil separator models, and all can be fitted with either air-operated
